Hobbies

Lipmann had many interests other than science. In the 1920s Berlin was known for art and science. Lipmann was interested in paintings and in the theatre. His dramatist brother worked with the director of the Staatstheater, Leopold Jessner. In 1926 painter Friedel Sebba made a portrait of Lipmann and his brother Heinz. Lipmann spent time with Friedel Sebba.
