Title: REDUCTION OF CARDIOVASCULAR VESSEL OCCLUSIONS WITH ASCORBATE AND LIPOPROTEIN (a) BINDING INHIBITORS
Publication Type: International Patent
Publication Date: Dec 26, 1991
Filing Date: Jun 3, 1991
Inventors: Rath Matthias W, Pauling Linus C
Original Assignee: Rath Matthias W, Pauling Linus C
Abstract: A method and pharmaceutical composition are provided for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, particularly
cardiovascular disease in the context of diabetic angiopathy, by-pass surgery, organ transplantation, and hemodialysis, by administering ascorbate and substances that inhibit the binding of lipoprotein (a) to
blood vessel walls.

Title: TECHNIQUE FOR INCREASING SUPERCONDUCTING MATERIAL CRITICAL TEMPERATURE
Publication Type: International Patent
Publication Date: Dec 14, 1989
Filing Date: May 26, 1989
Inventors: Pauling Linus C
Original Assignee: Superbio Inc.
Abstract: A technique for increasing the critical temperature, critical magnetic field, and maximum current density of any of a range of already
known superconducting materials. The invention contemplates forming a composite structure having superconducting material in the form of fine strands embedded in a wave-guiding matrix. The superconducting current
is thus restricted to essentially linear motion. The superconducting strands need not be straight, however, but could also be bent and interconnected into a network. The matrix is formed of a material having
sufficiently different electrical properties from those of the superconductor so as to preserve the integrity of the superconducting current along these strands. A number of the preferred embodiments use glass as
the matrix material.

Title: Therapeutic lysine salt composition and method of use
Publication Type: United States Utility Patent
Publication Date: Jul 22, 1997
Filing Date: Mar 24, 1994
Inventors: Rath Matthias, Pauling Linus
Original Assignee: Therapy 2000
Abstract: A therapeutic lysine-based composition and methods for its use in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease is disclosed.
The composition includes at least one ascorbate compound, nicotinic acid and at least one lysine compound. The ascorbate compound, nicotinic acid and the lysine compound are preferentially present in a ratio of
8:1:1. The composition may also include N-acetyl cysteine, a carotene and/or nicotinic acid. A patient at risk of developing or with a pre-existing cardiovascular disease is treated by administering orally or
parenterally a desired dosage of the composition on a daily basis.

Title: Use of ascorbate and tranexamic acid solution for organ and blood vessel treatment prior to transplantation
Publication Type: United States Utility Patent
Publication Date: Jul 27, 1993
Filing Date: Jul 24, 1990
Inventors: Rath Matthias W, Pauling Linus C.
Original Assignee: Therapy 2000
Abstract: A method and pharmaceutical agent are provided for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, particularly cardiovascular
disease in the context of diabetic angiopathy, by-pass surgery, organ transplantation, and hemodialysis, by administering ascorbate and substances that inhibit the binding of lipoprotein (a) to blood vessel walls.
The use of ascorbate and lipoprotein (a) binding inhibitors such as tranexamic acid in a temporary storage solution for blood vessels and organs prior to transplantation is also demonstrated.

Title: Method of drawing dissolved superconductor
Publication Type: United States Utility Patent
Publication Date: Oct 27, 1992
Filing Date: May 13, 1991
Inventors: Pauling Linus C
Original Assignee: Superbio, Inc.
Abstract: A preform for drawing superconductive wire is prepared by mixing fine particles of a superconducting material, containing barium,
potassium, bismuth and oxygen, with a solvent, containing potassium hydroxide, in a tube. When the preform is heated and drawn, the superconductive material dissolves in the solvent. As the fiber cools, the
superconducting material deposits from the solution as a solid network of crystals in contact with one another.
